History of India Gate

India Gate ek war memorial hai jo New Delhi ke heart me located hai. Iska design Sir Edwin Lutyens ne banaya tha, jo New Delhi ke architecture ke main designer the.
Iska foundation 1921 me rakha gaya aur construction 1931 me complete hua.

Ye memorial First World War (1914–1918) aur Third Anglo-Afghan War (1919) me shaheed hue 70,000 se zyada Indian soldiers ke liye banaya gaya tha. Un soldiers ke naam stone par likhe gaye hain.

1971 me India–Pakistan war ke baad ek aur memorial add kiya gaya jise Amar Jawan Jyoti kaha jata hai. Ye ek eternal flame hai jo un unknown soldiers ke liye jalaayi gayi thi jin logon ne desh ke liye apni jaan di.
